For most people, moving is a pretty annoying thing to have to do. You have to get all your stuff together, make sure you don't forget anything and then load it up. Then you have to drive. Then you have to unload it all. By the time it comes to unloading you're very tired and, if you have kids, you are probably yelling at them. They are probably crying or acting mischievously because they have had such a boring day and they wish they were wild orphans adopted by a wolf or a friendly bear. Moving brings out the worst in people. It is the one thing that can make the average person consumer question why he or she values their material possessions so much. "Why do I spend all my days working to buy this garbage?! Now I have to move it? This is ridiculous. I would burn it if I hadn't sacrificed my soul and youth to attain it." Moving can be a life-shattering process. It is essential to the health of the economy that people don't realize that amassing disposable junk is not a very fulfilling way to spend a life. That is why moving companies are popular. Moving companies used to be awful places to work. After all, if moving is so awful when you have to do it once in a while, who could possibly bear to do it every day?! It was kind of like being an EMS or in the infantry. The first couple times you see a dead body, it hits you hard but after a while you become desensitized. Your heart grows stony and you become more reserved. You realize that the world is filled with more suffering and evil than you can possibly defeat, enough to fill your heart so full with sorrow that it explodes and leaves you dead. Moving companies were filled with unhappy people. However, moving companies have finally figured it out. Instead of hiring people who establish themselves in neighborhoods and build a life with kids that go to school and make friends with the people at all their local shops, moving companies hire nomads. Nomads are perfect for moving companies because they don't buy into consumer culture. They love moving! Nomads are also usually quite desperate for money because life on the road is hard. They are willing to accept low wages from the moving companies.
